Los Angeles Clippers Mid-Season Grades: Boban Marjanovic

The Tobi and Bobi show aside, Boban has given Clipper’s fans a lot to be proud of. Jokes circulated on Twitter after the comeback win in Denver about the “Boban breakout” game. In a lot of ways it really was his introduction to Clipper’s fans. Seeing what his potential looks like and perhaps his ceiling makes this team just that much deeper. The team was visibly happy to see him getting some playing time, which adds to the narrative that he’s a great locker room guy. DeAndre Jordan was on the sideline celebrating and losing his mind watching Boban take over. After the game no one seemed happier than Bobi’s biggest cheerleader and counterpart in internet antics than Tobias Harris.

Boban’s ability to play like Tuesday has apparently been a hushed secret in the league, and now Clipper Nation is privy to it.
There have been stories for years of Boban dominating in practice. Coaches have just been afraid to play him in games, and he has trouble obviously against shooting centers. But the guy can play.

We may or may not see Boban log meaningful minutes again, but his contribution to the team both on and off the court have earned him a great grade. His heart, effort, and attitude embody everything this team is and wants to be, and that alone should help him find a heart in fans everywhere.
