Defense: C
Defensively adjusting to NBA talent is difficult, especially when not overwhelmingly strong or lengthy. His defense is a bit inconsistent, with some defensive numbers are higher than last years while others a lower as well.
For example, his defensive rebounding and steals has gotten a bit better, rising from 4.8 DRB to 5.0 DRB at 36mpg, and 1.0 to 1.1 steals, while his blocking is almost similar, as well as his Defensive Box Score + / –
Ironically, his defensive win shares are rising a tad, so maybe if the Clippers focus on a more defensive anchor team moving forward, Dekker can improve with the team.
