According to the LA Times, LA Clippers Center DeAndre Jordan has put his Malibu home up for sale. Could this be the first sign that he’s on his way out?

Free Agency is one of the most exciting periods of the NBA season (you can call it the offseason, but to us, the season never ends), and it looks like we may already be getting an early preview of what’s to come.

The LA Times reported on Thursday that DeAndre Jordan had put his Malibu home on the market. The two-story home, located in a gated Malibu community, is currently listed online for $6.5 million.

Jordan purchased the home in December 2016 for just over $5 million.

With rumors about Jordan departing Los Angeles on the rise, it’s no wonder why many Clippers fans are feeling a little suspicious about the listing. Jordan has spent his entire career with the team, and fans would be sad to see him go. Overthinking is just part of the process.

Jordan can become a free agent at season’s end if he declines his player option, and he’s anticipated to do so. He was shopped heavily prior to the trade deadline, and was very close to being traded to Cleveland. If the Clippers are opting to take the rebuilding path, a future with Jordan in it seems unlikely.

The nine-year veteran has averaged 11.9 points and 15.0 rebounds per game this season. He’s also shot a career-best 60.2% from the free throw line.

Jordan will likely seek a max deal this Summer, and if he knows the Clippers won’t give him one, it could be the reason behind his listing. However, he could also just be in search of a new place. Since he’s lived in the home for such a short period of time, it’s hard to be sure.
