Los Angeles Clippers’ Mid-Season Grades: Danilo Gallinari
By Paul Tooke
Defense – C-
Grading something that doesn’t exist is a task, which is what is required regarding Danilo Gallinari’s defense. In all seriousness though, when you think of Gallinari, does the word “defense” come to mind? Chances are that it doesn’t. Gallinari get’s a “C-” due to his establishment as an “average to slightly above average” defender.
His length is nice, and now that he is running the power forward position and guarding players closer to his 6’10” frame, it will be interesting to see how he handles his match-ups. Gallinari is averaging .6 steals and .3 blocks per game as of now. Once again, more than 18 games will be required from Danilo to see what he has to offer on the other end of the court.
