AC Clippers Win a Thriller Against South Bay Lakers
In what could be a prelude to tonight’s battle of LA, the Agua Caliente Clippers escaped with a thrilling win against the South Bay Lakers.
The AC Clippers were down 15 points early, but the game quickly developed into a roller-coaster; there were 15 lead changes and 9 ties.
Tyrone Wallace led the way for the Clippers, putting up a fantastic game of: 28 points, 10 assists, 6 rebounds, and 52% shooting.
In addition to Wallace’s stellar play, the Clippers played a fantastic team game.

Six different Clipper players scored 10+ points, and three different players scored 19+ points.
The Lakers were led by the play of Vander Blue, who put up: 24 points, 6 rebounds, and 4 assists.
The South Bay Lakers are one of the best teams in the G-League (13-7), so last night’s game provides great confidence to the AC Clippers who are now 13-9. The Clippers could have folded after their 15 point deficit in the 2nd quarter, but immediately bounced back to cut the deficit to 3 at the end of the half. Vitto Brown spoke about the Clipper’s comeback mentality at the end of the game:
"“We know that against a good team like South Bay, if you stay down too long, its only going to get worse. We knew we had to make a change and it was simple mistakes like turnovers and not getting back on defense. Once we corrected those issues we were okay.”"
The Clippers’ next game is against the Texas Legends (10-10) on Saturday, where the Clippers look to extend their win streak to 2.
