2012 NBA Draft

Selections: Furkan Aldemir (53rd)

Notable players still available: N/A

The Clippers’ 2012 NBA Draft earns an incomplete grade.

Furkan Aldemir never appeared in a single game for the LA Clippers, as he was immediately thrown into a four-team deal on draft night that sent him to Philadelphia. In exchange, the Clippers were able to bring back Lamar Odom for a victory lap, if you can call it that.

Odom appeared in all 82 games that year, starting in 2 and averaging 4.0 points and 5.9 rebounds. I guess Aldemir made it possible, but since Philly only played him in half of their games that season, it seems as though any player would’ve satisfied their needs.

Aldemir spent just one season in the NBA before returning to the Turkish Super League. The 2012 Draft Class was admittedly a weak one.
