Jerry West is a genius. That much is fact.

As a vital cog in Golden State’s machine, West helped create the Warriors team that we know and hate these days. Now, he’s a supervisor with the LA Clippers and likely played a large role in selecting both Jawun Evans and Sindarius Thornwell in the second round of the 2017 NBA Draft.

Both have made a significant impact for this year’s Clippers squad that has been battered by injury after injury. However, both players are mature and likely would’ve gotten more minutes than previous Clipper rookies anyway.

The two have been labeled as some of the biggest steals from the draft, and rightfully so. Evans looks like he could be the future of the franchise, and Thornwell has been an excellent supporting piece of a team in need of such.

Neither player’s numbers will shock you, but their maturity levels are keeping them near the top of the depth chart.

This Clippers draft was their best since they took Griffin back in 2009.

Grade: B+
