2016 NBA Draft

Selections: Brice Johnson (25th), David Michineau (39th), Diamond Stone (40th)

Notable players still available: Dejounte Murray (29th), Malcolm Brogdon (36th), Patrick McCaw (38th), Yogi Ferrell (Undrafted), Derrick Jones Jr. (Undrafted)

The Clippers didn’t have a single pick in the 2015 NBA Draft. Instead, they went ahead and chose to buy into the second round of the 2016 NBA Draft, but walked away with very little to show for it.

French point guard David Michineau is still yet to appear in an NBA game.

Diamond Stone managed to play in just 7 games for the LA Clippers, falling deep into Doc’s rotation. He played when he was absolutely needed, and that was it, despite Paul Pierce‘s best efforts to improve him.

Brice Johnson was the only real success from this draft, and we’re still waiting for him to break out. He’s looked especially crisp as of late in G-League play, but since he’s so deep in the Clippers’ depth chart, we don’t really expect to see his takeover anytime soon.

Considering the fact that the Rookie of the Year, Malcolm Brogdon, was drafted in the second round, it’s easy to assume that the Clippers missed out. You’d be right to make that assumption.
