Willie Reed had his best game
When the LA Clippers first signed Willie Reed, there was some confusion about his role. Would he just be playing behind DeAndre Jordan? Could he start every now and then? How would the team look running two centers off the bench?
Reed is leaving just one answer for those questions: he came here to play. And he came here to play well.
The former Heat big had his best game for the LA Clippers last night, recording 15 points and 8 rebounds in just 20 minutes of play. He made all 6 of his field goal attempts, made 50% of his free throws, and didn’t record a turnover. He was nearly as efficient as possible.
If this is the Reed that continues to show up night after night, legitimate questions may rise about whether or not he should be starting over Jordan.
