Blake Griffin surprises Oklahoma Sooners with Jordan partnership
LA Clippers forward Blake Griffin surprised his alma mater’s football and basketball teams with Jordan apparel to kick off the university’s partnership with the iconic Jordan brand.
LA Clippers forward Blake Griffin visited the University of Oklahoma to surprise some of their athletes with news of the new partnership between the Sooners and Jordan Brand . Blake recorded his adventure on Snapchat and the teams reactions to the announcement.
The Jordan partnership with the university marks only the third for the brand. Griffin has been a part of the Jordan brand since 2012, and without a doubt couldn’t have picked a better ambassador to visit his former school.
Blake made his way to his alma mater to break the news to players on the basketball and football teams. Dressed in all black, Blake heads to the football facilities during practice to announce to the football team that they are now signed with Jordan. The football team let out a roar when they heard the news. But they go crazy when they see the new gear that Jordan sent with Griffin.
Football Team
After the football teams shows off their new kicks, Blake heads to meet the women’s basketball team to break the news to them. While passing a large poster with him on it, he walks past it just looking at it, and gives the reminder of how far he’s came as a player and brand in his own right.
Blake breaks the news on the Sooner basketball court and the women’s team were even more excited than the football team to hear the news. Once in the locker room they see what Jordan has left for the team and the team loved their Jordan branded gear.

The women’s team seemed to very much enjoy their new kicks, and there was only one more stop for Blake to stop and announce to the men’s team they are now Jordan.
While he waited for the team to join him in the locker room he watched some film to help the team with his notes. Once the team joined him in the film room, he stands up and the clap, and the video cuts to the team entering the locker room. They run into the locker room and the excitement on their face says it all.
