This year’s World Series has been one for the ages, and several LA Clippers players have been following closely.

It’s easy to forget sometimes, but yes – NBA players do have lives outside of basketball. Recently, we’ve heard plenty about Blake Griffin‘s rumored relationship with Kendall Jenner. We also see bits and pieces of what players do in their free time on their social media pages, like Twitter and Instagram.

Several Clippers players have taken to Twitter specifically to voice their thoughts about the 2017 World Series. The LA Dodgers and the Houston Astros have played a fierce battle so far. The series is tied at 3 games apiece, and the Dodgers host the decisive Game 7 tonight. Lots of Clippers players have connections to the Dodgers, but there are also a good few that are in support of the Astros.

Game 6 of the Series was played in Los Angeles on Tuesday night, and none other than Sam Dekker was at the stadium with his girlfriend in support of the team.

Dekker claimed he went to the game as Benny “The Jet” Rodriguez, from the famous 90’s baseball flick, “The Sandlot”.

Dekker wasn’t the only Clipper in attendance, though. Starting point guard Patrick Beverley was in attendance, sporting a Houston Astros cap and holding a ball that had just landed near his seat.

Beverley isn’t the only Clippers star supporting the Astros, either. Houston native DeAndre Jordan has been an outspoken supporter of his hometown team, which held a 3-2 series lead prior to last night’s events.

We may not see any tweets from Clippers players during Game 7 tonight, since LA will take the court against the Dallas Mavericks just two hours after the World Series begins. Surely we’ll see excitement from our team’s players tonight, regardless of the outcome.
