The LA Clippers will already be looking for their second win at Staples center despite this being their actual home opener.

Fortunately for the LA Clippers, they have been blessed by playing their first eight of nine games on their home court. Compliments to the schedule makers.

The Phoenix Suns are jumping right into their first back to back of this early season going on the road after losing a close one to the Lakers 132-130.  While the Clippers handled the Lakers and spoiled Lonzo Ball’s debut cruising to a 108-92 win.

Phoenix is already banged up with injuries: Jared Dudley and Davon Reed with toe and knee injuries according to rotoworld.  While Brandon Knight will miss the entire season with a torn ACL. This forces the Suns to be even younger and more inexperienced, missing out on their veterans. Defense is a concern for this young Suns squad, allowing 128 points per game (!!!) their first two games.

This opens up great opportunities for Clippers offense to flourish, allowing all players to develop their role with the team.

The back court chemistry of Patrick Beverley, and the promising floor general Milos Teodosic, will certainly keep them in sync every night. While the front court trio of Danilo Gallinari, Blake Griffin, and DeAndre Jordan will dominate and share the points and rebounds.

Griffin is continuing to prove himself as the unanimous face of this brand new roster, adding his 29 point 12 rebounds night. Shooting an efficient 12 for 23 from the field, also going 3 for 6 from three! Griffin seemed active defensively, having fun and making poster dunks on opening night.

Jordan is also leading the way with Griffin, scoring 14 points and nearly passing the record of most rebounds opening night finishing two shy with 24 boards. Also, DJ impressively made all four of his free throw attempts so far, keeping his free throws 100% after game one.

The Clippers cannot underestimate this very talented young group, full of potential. The Suns are hungry for their first win, and more importantly to shake off this rough start. When a group of early 20 year olds with talent are in the mood to run, any upset is possible.
