Game Highlights
Play of the Game: Blake Griffin Poster
Remember when people said that Blake Griffin was just a dunker? And then he expanded his game and started scoring in other ways and people began saying that he had lost his athleticism? Well, Griffin surely shut that idea down in the second quarter when he baptizedised Julius Randle with a vicious right-handed jam:
DJ Putback Jam
Jordan was a beast on the offensive glass against the Lakers and positioned himself perfectly on countless possessions to get the offensive rebound and easy putback dunk. This second quarter putback jam was just one of multiple putbacks that DJ had in the Clippers’ victory

Patrick Beverley gets it done on both ends
Beverley was already a fan favorite coming into the Clippers’ season opener, but his warm welcoming of Lonzo Ball to the NBA gained him even more fans around the NBA Twitterverse. Even when Lonzo wasn’t in the game, Beverley was locked in and competing on both ends of the floor. This second quarter sequence of PBev getting it done on both ends got Clippers’ fans out of their seats and made it a little easier to forget about Chris Paul no longer being in LA. After pulling a Hakeem Olajuwon-esque move in the post on Julius Randle, Beverley hustled down the floor to get back on defense and send Jordan Clarkson’s alley-oop layup attempt careening off the backboard and into DeAndre Jordan’s hands.
Air-Harrell, cleared for take off
Montrezl Harrell didn’t see much playing time for the Clippers’ in his LAC debut, playing just three minutes near the end of the game. The forward made the most out of those three minutes, throwing down two ferocious dunks and trying to destroy the rim.
