Wesley Johnson’s hot streak

Johnson is having a breakout preseason. Yes, the same guy who shot a career-low 24.7% from deep last year. We should probably take everything he’s done thus far with a grain of salt, but we’ve gotta say, we’re really impressed. For the first time in his Clippers career, he’s actually resembling an NBA player. And it’s phenomenal. In fact, I’m overjoyed.

He’s averaging 8.7 points per game and shooting a blistering 80% from three. He’s yet to miss a free throw. These numbers aren’t going to last, not by any means, but it’s exciting to say the least. He’s got a chance to capitalize on his performances tonight, as he’ll likely be starting at small forward due to injuries to Gallinari, Dekker, and Thornwell. We’re actually relying on WeJo now. Who would’ve guessed?
