It’s simple to enter – all you have to do is submit a two-minute video or 200-word essay to FanSided, explaining why you should be named Fan of the Year. Entries can not be modified once they have been submitted. As a fan, you must exemplify a few traits, including dedication, integrity, and “Fanmanship”. All of the official rules can be viewed here.
So what’s in it for you, you might ask? Aside from getting the honor of being named Fan of the Year, five finalists will be profiled on FanSided.com, and will earn a free one-year subscription to Sports Illustrated. The grand prize winner will receive a free three-day trip to New York City to attend Sports Illustrated’s Sportsperson of the Year event.
When it comes down to it, the game we all know and love would be incomplete without us fans. We are the ones that fuel our team’s fire.
