Ball Movement

Doc Rivers has mentioned ball movement, and how it will only help the team moving forward. Rivers also mentions that with Paul, they did not have proper ball movement because of the ball- dominant guard. This is a different team that can take ball movement to the next level.

It’s nice to pass the ball around the 3-point line, but when you do what’s seen below, you’ll have those teams on notice.

The Milos and Griffin pick and roll will take a little time to smooth out, but if this is any indication, the team will be able to take advantage of Griffin’s extended range to three.

Even though they are incorporating new players, the team is still able to find the open man on a break shown above. Having Milos and Griffin on the floor at the same time will push defenses to get the ball out of their hands quickly. If they can run plays like this, they might not get it out quick enough.

Ball movement makes the offense so much easier and against a team that is working on its defense expect them to pressure the ball. The Clippers are skilled enough to create some chaos against the Blazers.
