2) More Blake and Gallo mismatches
The dynamic of having two forwards who are capable of scoring in almost every way is going to be huge for the Clippers this season. Opposing small forwards are going to be forced to guard either Gallo or Blake, who are able to take advantage of smaller defenders in the post when the opportunity arises. We saw this happen quite a few times in the first preseason game, with Gallo and Griffin taking turns posting up on CJ Miles and scoring on him with ease. The fact that Griffin has developed the threat of his three-point shot opens the floor even more for the Clippers and Gallo has already been a decent three-point shooter coming in.
Using these mismatches may not always lead to points for Griffin or Gallo, but will force opposing defenders to help off their man and lead to open looks for other players. Especially against teams like the Raptors, who are undersized at the small forward, you should expect to see Griffin and Gallinari taking advantage of these mismatches routinely until the opposing defense adapts.
