Winner: The New Guys

Man oh man, did Danilo Gallinari light it up. And boy, Milos Teodosic can really sling that ball around. And how about Lou Williams?

All of those names have one thing in common – they’re all new members of the LA Clippers, and they each made excellent contributions last night. Gallinari, Williams, and Beverley combined for 48 of the Clippers’ 113 points last night, and they did so in unique ways.

Gallo converted 10 of his 12 free throw attempts on the night, sinking all of his first 10. He shot 90% from the stripe last season, which is a welcome change to a team that ranked in the bottom 10 in free throw percentage last year.

Teodosic is a wizard. That much is clear. He finished the night with 8 assists and 1 point, which might not jump out as impressive, but according to the following tweet, it’s much better than it sounds.

Williams had one of the most impressive lines of the night. He finished with 17 points, 6 assists, 4 rebounds, and 2 steals, without converting a single three. He did so in just 22 minutes of play. If this play persists, he’ll be doing much more than just filling in where Jamal Crawford left off.
