The LA Clippers 30-year-old rookie, Milos Teodosic, made his NBA debut last night against the Toronto Raptors and we all love him.

The LA Clippers have the best rookie point guard in LA. There. I said it. Milos Teodosic may not have put up the best stat line last night, but the Serbian product dazzled fans around the NBA. I know it’s only one game, but let’s all overreact, shall we?

Teodosic put up only 1 point from the free throw line, but he managed to get 8 assists and 2 steals in his 20 minutes. If you didn’t watch the game, you’re probably thinking, “How is there so much hype around him? He only made a few passes.”

Here’s how those 8 assists looked:

In the words of Larry David (whose show also returned last night) Milos’ passes looked pretty, pretty, pretty good.

His court vision is out of this world. DeAndre Jordan looks to be the biggest beneficiary of Milos vision and the two should have a solid rapport throughout the season.

Going Forward

Milos’ was unable to knock down a shot last night, despite taking five attempts from the field. During his time in Europe, he shot 44% from the field, including 38.5% from deep. We can pretty easily just chalk up last night to poor shooting. The shooting will come to him over time.

His two steals were a pleasant surprise, as he only averages 0.8 over his career across the ocean. One of those two did essentially fall into his lap, but him showing some defensive prowess is reassuring. Milos has been a below average defender during his career, so any steals or stops from him is just an added bonus.

So, everyone should get on the Milos hype train. Reddit is already there. Our staff is already there. We’ll soon be counting up all the wins that Milos brings us.

Keep up with Milos and all the other LA Clippers’ players by following along with Clipperholics on both Twitter and Facebook as we get ready for the NBA regular season.
