Wesley Johnson has been reborn
Alright yes its just one game and its preseason, but Wesley Johnson looked like a completely different player from the one we’ve seen the past two seasons. Johnson, one of the five returning Clippers players, seemed much more confident as was making the plays that Clippers fans expected him to make when he first came to LA. In 17 minutes, the forward scored 10 points and pulled down four boards while shooting four of five from the field.
Wes-Jo was confident in his jump shot, stepping out to his a tough three-pointer and then knocking down a smooth looking mid-range shot. The wing was also aggressive at the rack and finally showcased the athleticism we’ve known he had (but barely ever used) on this fast break slam on a Teodosic dime:
If Johnson can turn in this type of performance on the floor every night, his play could greatly help the Clippers and would make the team’s bench just one player deeper.
