Lou Williams is just a smaller Jamal Crawford

Lou Williams gave the Clippers exactly what was expected out of him in his LAC debut. The veteran guard, acquired from Houston in the Chris Paul trade, thrived off the bench for the Clippers, finishing the game with 17 points in just under 23 minutes. Williams fits right into the sixth-man role that Jamal Crawford once held and was not afraid to shoot his shots during his Clippers debut.

The guard finished just four of nine, missing all four of his three-point attempts but doing an outstanding job of getting to the free throw line. Williams equaled Gallinari with 12 free throw attempts of his own, converting on nine of them. The 12-year veteran also did a great job of facilitating the ball during his time on the floor, dishing out six assists. Williams should easily be the Clippers’ leading scorer off of the bench this year and could be in contention to win the league’s sixth man of the year award.
