One of the most exciting days of the year, Media Day, is fast approaching for the LA Clippers.

It’s almost that time of year again, Clippers fans. Preseason hoops are only about 2 weeks away, and the regular season begins in just under a month’s time. Before all that though, is the annual Media Day.

Basically, it’s everybody’s first chance to see the new roster as a whole, all at once. Team and individual pictures are taken, interviews are conducted with players and coaches, etc. At last year’s Media Day, former Clippers Diamond Stone and Alan Anderson faced off in pop-a-shot. Nothing is off-limits, really.

This year, however, carries a lot of importance. It’ll be the first time that all of the new players are seen together as a unit, which makes us wonder: What will the atmosphere be like? How are all the new guys getting along? What pranks have been played on the rookies?

We can’t answer those questions just yet, but we’re great at assuming, so that’s what’s going to happen.

It’s going to feel unfamiliar to fans. The obvious lack of Chris Paul will sting. The roster won’t ring any bells – only 4 players are returning from last season.

On the other hand, we know that the players – new and old – are already forming great friendships. Blake Griffin and Sam Dekker‘s bromance hasn’t gone unnoticed. DeAndre Jordan and Patrick Beverley seem to be getting along well, per this image shared on Jordan’s Instagram.

According to comments from Griffin, Jordan, and Beverley, Pat hacked into DJ’s account and posted the picture as a joke. While it might not seem professional, this shows that the guys are all comfortable with their new teammates. And as we all know, chemistry is key.

As for the rookies, we don’t know any information about pranks. All we really know is that they’re definitely happening. Maybe that’s one of the things we’ll find out?

Media Day 2017 will take place on September 25. Stay tuned to Clipperholics for coverage of the event!
