NBA Record Third Sixth Man of the Year Award

One of my personal favorite things about Jamal Crawford was his personality. Crawford was always well-spoken and his teammates always spoke highly of him. As shown in the video above, Crawford is incredibly humble and he talks about how he accepted and embraced his role as a sixth-man in the league. The guard became the oldest player to ever win the NBA’s Sixth Man of the Year Award at 35-years old in ’15-’16 after he averaged 14.2 points and 2.3 assists off of the Clippers’ bench. This award was also his third time winning the award, his second with the Clippers, making Crawford the only player in league history to have won the award three times. His third Sixth Man of the Year win puts him up there with the greatest sixth-men of all time and Crawford has maybe even accomplished enough in his long NBA career to eventually earn himself a spot in the Naismith Memorial Basketball Hall of Fame.

Jamal Crawford was easy for the Clippers to fall in love with. A passionate performer, we can tell that Crawford always gave his all, night after night. These five moments were just a few of the hundreds he gave the organization and their fans. Crawford will make his return to LA on December 6 with the Minnesota Timberwolves, his 7th professional team.
