The long-awaited debut of the LA Clippers’ “Statement” uniforms occurred at the Nike x NBA event on Friday night.

The wait is finally over, Clipper Nation! Nike and the NBA officially unveiled all 30 “Statement” uniforms in Los Angeles tonight, and boy are they GORGEOUS.

Unsurprisingly, Blake Griffin was the player chosen to debut the new threads. The jerseys are a new (and improved) take on the “DTLAC” ones that debuted two seasons ago.

The jerseys feature a primarily black appearance, and are complemented by bold, white numbers beneath the “LAC” logo. To top it off, the collar has a tri-stripe design, with red, white, and blue accents.

The Clippers can choose to wear these new digs at their own discretion, the same as with the “Icon” and “Association” uniforms. However, it wouldn’t shock anyone if they continue the DTLAC trend and wear them for specific events.

The rest of the NBA teams unveiled their new uniforms as well. While some renditions were simply remakes of past alternates, several teams unveiled all-new looks. That includes the Oklahoma City Thunder, Utah Jazz, and the Philadelphia 76ers, to name a few.

In the opinion of a few of our writers, these new Statement jerseys look much better in real life vs the 2K rendition. We want to leave the rest up to you, though. What are your thoughts on the new uniforms? Will you be buying your own once they release? How do they fare in comparison to the DTLAC jerseys?
