The 1974-75 Buffalo Braves

The 74′-75′ season for the Braves was their best as the team finished third in the league with a 49-33 record. The Braves were led by Bob McAdoo, who lead the league in points with a career-high 34.5 points per game,  along with 14.1 rebounds, and 2.1 blocks per night on his way to winning the NBA’s Most Valuable Player Award. McAdoo remains to be to only player in the franchise’s history to win an MVP Award, although a couple players have been close. While present-day Clippers fans may not recognize most of the players who played with McAdoo in Buffalo, some will recognize Randy Smith and Jim McMillian, who averaged 17.8 points and 14.3 points respectively. In past 2ks, the game has featured other historic teams from the same time period such as the 1971-1972 New York Knicks and the 1976-1977 Philadelphia 76ers. While many modern NBA fans know nothing about these older teams, they are important parts of each franchises’ history and deserve spots in the game.
