The LA Clippers’ roster is more or less set. We look at potential trades that could improve the Clippers’ chances come playoff time.
The NBA’s trade deadline is now set for February 8, around a week and a half prior to All-Star Weekend. By that time the Clippers will have played 52 of 82 games. Clipper management are likely to have noted and discussed any chemistry or performance issues by this time and may be looking to address these issues through trade.
The Current Roster
The 15 man roster most likely to be carried into the regular season:
Blake Griffin, DeAndre Jordan, Danilo Gallinari, Patrick Beverley, Austin Rivers, Milos Teodosic, Lou Williams, Sam Dekker, Montrezl Harrell, Willie Reed, Brice Johnson, Wesley Johnson, DeAndre Liggins, Jawun Evans, Sindarius Thornwell.
As it stands, the Clippers are carrying a 7-man guard rotation, 3 wings and 5 bigs.
It is likely that the rookies spend some time with the Agua Caliente Clippers of Ontario G-League franchise. Others could come the other way throughout the season such as Marshall Plumlee and Jamil Wilson. Several members of the current squad could also be cut in the training camp process.
