Team Griffin, official member of the Nike Elite Youth Basketball League (EYBL), has announced a skills development clinic for kids in the 6th-8th grade.
According to Team Griffin’s official website, the Team Griffin Skills Development Clinic will take place on Saturday, September 23, from 9 am to 1 pm. The 4-hour event will feature rigorous training and development sessions, and will be led by NCAA certified coaches. The goal of the camp is to strengthen the attendees’ skills on both offensive and defensive sides of the ball.
The event will take place at the John Marshall High School Gymnasium in Oklahoma City, Oklahoma. Those seeking to participate must be in 6th, 7th, or 8th grade, and must pay the $75 registration fee. They will also need to bring a water bottle, a snack, and basketball shoes. Basketballs will be provided, so there is no need to worry about bringing your own. We recommend that you act fast, as there are only 80 spots available. The registration period likely won’t last long, and it is open now! Although Blake Griffin won’t be at the program itself, the participants are sure to learn valuable information and techniques from the clinic instructors.
Griffin established the Team Griffin Foundation in 2015 in order to bring an elite youth basketball program to his home state, with a focus on developing well-rounded athletes both in the classroom and on the court. Several alumni are among the most touted prospects of upcoming NBA draft classes.
