A Brief History of the LA Clippers’ Jerseys

The Los Angeles Reds, 1986-87:
The Clippers abandoned the navy blue uniforms for the 1986 season, unveiling a new jersey color and design. Opting to go with red as the new primary color, the Clippers made the navy blue their secondary color. The team felt comfortable sprouting their city name on their jerseys after a few seasons in LA, switching out the “Clippers” on the jersey front for “Los Angeles” written in cursive and also shrunk the front number down.
