Blake Griffin – Miss

Overall: 87

Blake is my first miss, but not my last. And the reason why it’s a miss is almost more of a critique on his progression, rather than his rating itself. Griffin ended the season in 2K17 as an 87 overall. And while these ratings are only preliminary, 87 just doesn’t seem like enough to me. I can understand the worries about his health, and that’s justified. However, when you include the fact that Blake has been adding the three-ball to his arsenal and that the Clippers have statistically thrived when he’s on the floor, it seems logical to think that they’ll do the same when he’s the lone wolf leading the pack in the upcoming campaign. That alone should be enough for an 88 at the very least, no? I guess not.
