Patrick Beverley – Hit

Rating: 79

Perhaps the NBA’s best “3 and D” point guard, Beverley rings in at a reasonable 79. I say that for one reason and one reason only – 80 is probably too high, and 78 too low. However, by no means does that mean that I don’t think his rating will increase as the season goes on. At this point, Bev has almost nothing to lose and everything to gain. We know his defense isn’t going to suddenly drop off, and his insane drive will likely push him to new heights in his inaugural campaign with our LA Clippers. Starting off at 79 is definitely acceptable. Just don’t be surprised if his rating climbs to the low 80’s as the season nears its end.
