Sam Dekker – Hit

Rating: 73

This year probably won’t be Sam Dekker’s breakout year, but that doesn’t mean that he’s not on the rise. He’s everything that the modern small forward should be – quick, long, athletic, and an excellent shooter from beyond the arc. Like, seriously. Name a great 3 in the NBA that isn’t at least 3 of those 4 things. Dekker is also young and cheap, which fits the “new” Clippers archetype. But still, 73 is a respectable rating for a guy who averaged 6.5 points and 4 rebounds per game in his de-facto rookie season. Because of Gallinari’s tendency to succumb to various injuries throughout the course of the year, we’ll likely see Dekker start a few games for the Clipshow. Expect his rating to at least reach 75 by the All-Star break.
