With rumors swirling around Dwyane Wade, could the former All-Star be on his way to the LA Clippers later in the season?

There’s an air of certainty around the league that Dwyane Wade and the Chicago Bulls will reach a buyout at some point during the 2017-18 NBA season. It’s almost the consensus around the league that after the buyout, Wade will join his longtime friends, LeBron James, in Cleveland.

However, according to the Miami Herald, that might not be as much of a done deal as everyone thinks.

"A Wade associate has been telling people that Miami and Los Angeles are also appealing destinations for Wade."

Yes, it only says Los Angeles. This could very well mean that Wade wants to play for the Lakers and possibly team up with LeBron there, if LBJ to LA rumors are to be believed. But the lack of specifics means that the Clippers could be an option.

Wade could come and be stuck right into the rotation for the LA Clippers. Although he isn’t the player he used to be, he could give the team even more depth at the guard. This, of course, would mean less minutes for Austin Rivers, Patrick Beverly, Milos Teodosic and Lou Williams. The guard position is already pretty tightly packed, with these four solid rotational pieces. There’s also Sindarius Thornwell, who the Clippers drafted, that will be looking for minutes.

It’s unlikely that D. Wade ends up in Clippers red white and blue, but the lack of specifics from his camp can leave us wondering: Could we see Dwyane Wade suited up for the LA Clippers before the season comes to a close? Would we even want that?
