LA Clippers forward Sam Dekker just gave us a look at his Clippers-colored kicks on social media. While they look great, one pair may mean something exciting for the whole LA Clippers franchise.

Back in Black
“Heat” is right (no, not Miami). The blue Nike’s go with our new blue uniforms, the white Nike’s go with our new white uniforms, and the black Nike’s go with our… Wait, only two of our new uniforms have been revealed. Could this mean that a black uniform will be one of the next two? That is what we believe, and this is the first piece of evidence that supports the return of the crisp, black uniforms.
His tweet suggests that Nike sent him these kicks, meaning they knew what colors the team planned on wearing. If Dekker did in fact design these himself, then he had to know which colors to use, therefore somebody told him that the color “black” qualified. Usually, players’ shoes have their primary color as the color of the uniforms being worn for each game. This all supports the assumed return of black LA Clippers uniforms. The team will reveal new uniforms in September. Perhaps the Statement Edition is, in fact, the black jersey.
There is one problem though: the blue uniforms will be the Clippers’ primary “away” threads. This means that the team will be rocking black for a lot less games, compared to last season where they wore black for almost every away battle. These possibly new black Nike uniforms will of course be different than the previous Adidas ones. You can bet that they will look better, as Nike has done a great job on every team’s new uniforms. We give thanks to our very own Sam Dekker for a look at these shoes and cannot wait to see him play in them.
