The LA Clippers have officially unveiled their new Nike jerseys via Twitter.
The new jerseys are finally here! The LA Clippers unveiled their new Nike jerseys on Twitter this morning. Turns out, we were right. The blue is back!
These new jerseys are definitely an upgrade over the options they trotted out after the team re-branded. The biggest takeaway? That horrendous black font with the lines beneath it is gone. Another takeaway is the lack of a sponsor on the jersey. It’s somewhat surprising that a company didn’t pay up to be placed on the jersey. Perhaps at this point, the team is still working on negotiating terms with multiple companies.
You can see more detailed views of both the Association and Icon editions of the jerseys below.
The Icon jersey will most likely be used during away games. The stripes on the pants and down the sides of the jersey aren’t as visible here, but the blue looks amazing. It’s refreshing to see the team went completely away from the red jerseys that they tried to make happen.
The Association jersey has a lot going on, but it seems to all work. The blue and red stripes on the pants really stand out and as mentioned before, the writing is no longer randomly black. The team has not revealed, however, the other two reported color schemes. Hopefully we could see the team also sport some of the baby blue nautical colors that many fans seem to love. Let us know what you think about the jerseys!
