LA Clippers forward Montrezl Harrell and his former Houston Rockets teammate James Harden led LAUNFD to a victory in the first round of the Drew League Playoffs.

In his second year playing in the league, the LA Clippers’ Montrezl Harrell made his Drew League Playoff debut with the stacked LAUNFD squad comprised of his former Houston teammates James Harden and Bobby Brown, along with future lottery pick big man Marvin Bagley and former Kings player Pooh Jeter. LAUNFD, the third seed in the divisional quarter finals, easily handled the sixth seeded Bull Dogs, winning by a final score of 97-74. Harden led the team with a triple-double performance of 28 points, 15 assists, and 10 rebounds while Harrell contributed 15 points on 6-9 shooting from the floor along with five blocks.

Harrell spent the shoot around before the game showing off his bounce, throwing down a few impressive self-alley-oops for the crowd.

And then the forward showed off his bounce in game with this putback dunk.

Harrell also gave a preview of his shot blocking ability, pinning what should’ve been an easy Bull Dog layup on the glass and grabbing the rebound.

LAUNFD will be matched up against current Golden State Warriors teammates Nick Young and Javale McGee’s M.H.P. team in the next round of the Drew League Playoffs, a game that is sure to be good.

Harrell, acquired in the Chris Paul trade, will be fighting for minutes with former Heat center Willie Reed, who the Clippers recently signed in free agency. The two players have similar skill sets that will make it hard for the two to play on the floor at the same time which means the two young big-men will have to earn minutes on the LA second unit.
