Blake Griffin
NBA 2K16: 88
NBA 2K17: 87 (Updated to 88)
NBA 2K18 projection: 88
Blake may have experienced a drop in rating over the last two seasons due to his various injuries. He is still, however, a bona fide superstar in this league and 2K ratings generally recognise this, with decline tending to be marginal and plateauing in the high 80s (see Carmelo Anthony). Expect Blake’s rating to stand pat, and with the ball in his hands more and an injury-free season, perhaps we will see an increase in his opening-day rating for the 2019 iteration of the game.
Possibly because of the influx of youth into a traditionally veteran-centric roster, we do not foresee any ratings drops. As the season progresses and the players begin to increase their cohesion, hopefully their play will shine through and result in ratings increases. In any case, 2K18 looks to be an exciting game to work out the thumbs as the L.A Clippers.
