Austin may never shake the ‘nepotism’ tag, at least as long as Doc is running the show in Clipperland. This is too often the headline for Austin, with his strong play and leadership of the second unit often ignored. Rivers is a legitimate NBA player capable at either guard spot or even the 3 in ultra-small lineups, given his defensive ability. He improved in most categories this year per Basketball Reference and his rating should continue to rise.
