The LA Clippers added Lou Williams to the team via their trade with the Houston Rockets.
Lou Williams came to the LA Clippers via the Chris Paul trade with Houston. The guard will provide a huge spark off of the bench. Last season, Lou Williams was a finalist for Sixth Man of the Year. He will need to be this caliber of player again, especially with the departure of Jamal Crawford.
Despite being only 6’1 and 175lbs, the guard always finds ways to manage to score. He averages 12.8 points per game during his career, but last season he poured in 14.9 points on 38.6% shooting.
Due to a lack of defensive capabilities. Lou will fit well alongside Austin off the bench. He can also slot well next to Patrick Beverly. The familiarity between him and Beverly will be important, should they get minutes with each other.
Oh and of course, Drake was a big fan of him during his Toronto days, prompting the song 6 Man. That song will most definitely be heard when Lou is lighting up the Staples Center this season.
Lou Williams is already hard at work in the summer, participating in the Drew League. During his initial debut, he was able to drop 50 points. Hopefully this is a sign for what is to come for the LA Clippers this season.
Lou, along with the other new additions, will be introduced officially on Tuesday, July 18th. Make sure to keep checking back here at Clipperholics for all your news and updates and make sure to follow us on Twitter and Facebook!
