The LA Clippers will meet with free agent big man Javale McGee on Wednesday.

According to Adrian Wojnarowski, the LA Clippers will meet with free agent big man Javale McGee on Wednesday.

The big man still has interest in returning to the Warriors, after being part of their championship run. McGee has bounced around the league on several teams and seemed to have finally found a place that could utilize his skills with Golden State.

McGee has a lot of athletic upside, but is known for having mental lapses during games, which made him a prime candidate for “Shaqtin’ a Fool”. Despite these lapses, McGee has still always found a spot on a roster. The 7-footer averages 7.8 points per game and 5 rebounds on 55.4% shooting.

McGee would have a lot of benefit for the LA Clippers bench. Currently, the only backup big men are Montrezl Harrell and Brice Johnson. McGee would be a similar player to DeAndre Jordan and would be able to get up and down the floor quickly. He looked more engaged during his time with the Warriors, so hopefully Doc would be able to get the same results out of him.

This comes off the news that the LA Clippers will also meet with free agent guard Derrick Rose. The additions of both Rose and McGee would add to an already deep Clippers’ bench, which is something the team has not been used to.
