The Clippers made a splash on draft night by purchasing two second-round picks. How do you think they did?

Coming into the night on Thursday, the Clippers had zero NBA Draft selections. Finally having their own G-League team, most people assumed the Clippers would buy into the draft in hopes of adding some players they could develop. And they did just that.

Both these selections have been receiving a lot of praise all across the league, mainly with Jawun Evans. Many believe he’s a “Mini-CP3” and has the potential to make an immediate impact as the teams backup point guard. In his sophomore season, the former Cowboy averaged 19.2 ppg, 6.4 apg, 3.4 rpg, 1.8 spg.

The next name may sound familiar. Sindarius Thornwell, who was named the SEC player of the year, fell all the way to the Clippers at #48. He was also named to the SEC all-defensive team in 2016 and 2017. In his final season with the Gamecocks, he averaged 21.4 points, 7.2 rebounds, 2.8 assists, and 2.1 steals per game.

It will be exciting to see these two players contribute in the summer-league, and see if they can find themselves a spot on the Clippers’ roster.

How would you rate these picks?
