Clippers rise from the depths

The LA Clippers success has come in the last six full seasons and in that amount of time they have made the playoffs each time. In the prior 20 seasons, the team made the playoffs four times.

Those 20 years included having a polarizing previous owner who vetoed trades and who berated players while he sat court side. However, everyone started paying attention to him once a leaked voicemail surfaced.

A new light came in the form of a new owner, Steve Ballmer. Steve is full of energy and brought a new hope in how the Clippers would be viewed in the league. One of the first items was to change the LA Clippers’ logo and go throughout the LA Area and give thousands upon thousands of shirts and gear out.

Ballmer, who’s known to be as competitive as they come, also understood that he would need to leave the basketball decisions to Doc Rivers whom he would make President of Basketball Operations. With the great addition of Gillian Zucker as President of Business Operations, the team has worked with sponsors as well finding other ways to get the Clippers a new start with fans.

The Clippers would also bring out a way to interact with the young Clipper fans in the form of a mascot.
