The Twitter world and Clipper Nation nearly lost their minds Saturday evening after Knicks’ superstar Kristaps Porzingis tweeted a potential cryptic message about the LA Clippers.

What does it mean?

Your guess is just as good as mine.

Saturday evening brought drama to the NBA world, as Kristaps Porzingis tweeted “LA Clippers” with three smily face emojis.

Time to put on our detective hats and figure out what this means.

After skipping out on his exit interview with the Knicks, there’s been speculation on whether or not Porzingis would suit up for the Knicks next season. There’s no question there’s some bad tension between the 21 year-old and the team.

The tweet was immediately deleted after it was initially posted. Was he hacked? Did he somehow accidentally tweet this? There hasn’t been a follow-up tweet of any sorts, which raises more questions.

Earlier in the day, Porzingis tweeted a photo of him with soccer legend Neymar, swapping jerseys.

Phil Jackson said he would listen to trade offers for the young phenom, which makes us question if the LA Clippers could potentially be at play.

It’s well known Carmelo Anthony would waive his no-trade clause to join the Clippers. Could this be a potential package on the horizon?

After another postseason let down, the Clippers face many questions. With Blake Griffin, Chris Paul, and J.J. Redick all being free agents, could the Clippers switch things up?

While we’re still waiting on the final word on why this was tweeted, it definitely is fascinating and fun to think about. As mentioned, Porzingis appears to be done with New York, so why not come to the next best city? With Blake Griffin being a free agent, a sign-and-trade definitely makes sense and could potentially happen.

I guess we’ll just have to wait and see.

Would you like to see Porzingis get traded to the Clippers?
