Paul Pierce ended his career in his hometown, shooting 2-4 and 1-3 from deep. It was great to see him out there in his last game of his career. Pierce will likely sign a one day contract with the Boston Celtics to retire with the team that drafted him 19 year ago.

Pierce coming to the Clippers, even at this stage, gave the team a strong voice in the locker room and offered veteran leadership, while still playing close to his LA ties.

The two seasons with the Clippers might not be remembered when looking back at his career, but to the Clippers’ fans it meant everything to have someone with his resume. He brought hope that they might see some playoff magic. He did have some flashes of his old self, but he mainly looked like a player who had logged 19 seasons of wear and tear.
