J.J. Redick kept in check

J.J. Redick took five shots and one did not go in until there was only a few minutes left in the season. Redick could not find airspace in the game and he could not find it in the series. It was definitely a bad match-up.

Redick shot 19-50 from the floor, 9-26 from three and it really affected the spacing and it put an even bigger load on Paul. He could not find airspace and when he is not hitting shots he becomes a liability on the court.

J.J Redick becomes an unrestricted free agent once the NBA season ends and he will command a lot of attention. The Clippers will need to weigh giving a lucrative contract to a player on the other side of 30. He will be 33 by the time the new season starts and it will be a lot to invest in a player past his prime. If other similar players (Kyle Korver) can continue to play the game at a high level, then it is possible for Redick’s game to age like a fine wine or the contract could turn into some bad cheese.
