Iso Joe…again
The Clippers continued to struggle against Joe Johnson in game 5. They’ve failed to find an answer for his stellar offense and when they do, he still manages to make his shots. While he was defended a bit better with Luc primarily on him, Johnson still put up 14 points and 8 rebounds like it was nothing.
Iso Joe continued to play amazing down the stretch, completely unwaivered by crunch time moments. In the game’s crazy ending, Johnson hit a jumper over the length of Luc to ice the game for his team. This shot, hit with 19 seconds left, put the Jazz up 92-87, forcing the Clippers to play the dreaded foul game.
Next: Doc Rivers may not leave L.A.
Johnson has been the MVP of the series by a mile. In game 6, the Clippers will have to find an answer to the 35-year-old if they want to play another game in Los Angeles.
