LA struck first and never trailed in the game. This was due to the Clippers’ bigs dominating the paint. Utah did not go down without a fight, however. The long ball kept them in the game. They hit 10 of 25 deep balls to keep the game close. Unfortunately, the Clips only shot 6 of 20.
Griffin getting to the basket was reminiscent of years past. LA’s bigs attacked the rim and they attacked it often, scoring 39 more points in the paint than in Game 1.
