With the LA Clippers and the Utah Jazz squaring off in the first round of the NBA Playoffs, self acclaimed #1 Fan of the Jazz, ZDOG rapped about the teams.

WELL. ZDOG (Not to be mistaken for ZCATTY), has taken the internet by storm. Sunday afternoon, the unsigned artist posted a new music video that set out to destroy the LA Clippers’ image.

As of time of publication, the video has been retweeted over 1,400 times. Sports Illustrated and Bleacher Report have shared and it will be over all social media in the coming days.

So in order to save the LA Clippers and the city from some shame, let’s break down the video and you’ll see: ZDOG is totally wrong about the Clippers and LA.

“The Clippers are so ugly, they smell like weed”

Woah there. This is just an erroneous claim. When has ZDOG smelled the Clippers? I bet never is the correct answer. First off, I know what Chris Paul smells like. J.J. Redick, I assume, smells like Dove soap for the time being. Yes, I know pictures of DeAndre Jordan smoking a joint came out a few summers back, but I doubt he smells like that all the time.

Also, the LA Clippers are ugly? I mean, sure. Some of them aren’t the best things to look at. I mean, Mo Speights is probably not a panty dropper, but guys like Blake and J.J. could swoon many a lady.

“LA is the worst city ever”

Where are you even getting these ideas from, ZDOG? What factors are you using when judging a cities value? This study, done back in 2016, used crime rates, employment growth, access to restaurants and attractions, educational attainment, and housing affordability. In the end, Los Angeles wasn’t even listed in the top 10 cities in America, much less ever. I hate to say it, but I think ZDOG just made all of this rap up.

“Clippers’ fans are disgusting. They smell like Popeyes Chicken Breast”

So? This isn’t even an insult! Popeyes is good. They have that nice cajun spice mixed in their chicken that places like KFC and Church’s Chicken just don’t have. Thrillist rated them as better than the aforementioned restaurants back in 2014. TPopeyes has a variety of chicken, including on the bone, tenders and sandwiches. They also have a bunch of different side options, including cajun rice, green beans and macaroni and cheese. You can always find something you want! Plus, you can get a $5 Shrimp Tackle box with 8 butterfly shrimp, a regular side, a biscuit and ultimate cocktail sauce. I don’t think other chicken places have that kind of diversity!

(Unrelated: If Popeyes’ PR sees this, I’ll totally take a free meal or two)

“Clippers are the worst team in the NBA”

Obviously not, ZDOG. We’re in the playoffs and not looking forward to the lottery. Duh.

“I don’t know why they have to have a coach like Doc Rivers”

You got us there. We don’t really understand it either 🙁

“The Clippers like making love to the referees. They don’t deserve all the calls”

The Clippers definitely do not make love to the referees. They’re much too busy playing basketball to do that. Besides, they usually just yell and complain at them. Definitely no love there.

Also, in Game 1, the Utah Jazz had 19 fouls called on them, while the LA Clippers had 18. Seems like we didn’t get all the calls. TAKE THAT FOR DATA.

So….

ZDOG, I respect your game. However, next time you throw together a rap, you have to get your facts straight. Hopefully this overnight fame doesn’t go to your head.
