With the playoffs starting on Saturday, the quest for the first championship in franchise history begins. How do you think the LA Clippers will fare? Vote in the poll!

Ah, yes. The playoffs are finally here. After a grueling 82 game season, it all comes down to this. For the sixth consecutive season, the Los Angeles Clippers have made the NBA playoffs. In three of those years, they have moved past the first round. However, two of those years they failed to reach the second round.

How do you think they’ll do this year against the Utah Jazz?

The Clippers took three out of four games from the Jazz this season, so it’s easy to give them the edge in the series. Almost every single player on the roster has playoff experience, where as for majority of Utah, this will be new for them.

All of the “experts” seem to be leaning towards the Clippers’ way as well.

We’ll kick things off with CBS Sports. They had five of their NBA experts make first round predictions. All five picked the Clips to win, but their results were all over the place. One had them in 5, one had them in 6, and three had them in 7.

SportingNews.com gave this prediction:

"The Jazz play the slowest pace in the league, and though the Clippers are not exactly speed demons (17th in pace), it will be up to Utah to force their style onto this series. The bet here is that the Clippers’ experience will ultimately win out thanks to the home-court edge: Clippers in 7."

BleacherReport.com says:

"If Utah can maintain that dichotomy, stay healthy and take advantage of its raucous home crowd at Vivint Smart Home Arena, it will have an excellent chance of advancing for the first time in seven years. The Clippers, though, may be too talented and too experienced as a group for a Jazz squad that’s new to the postseason.Prediction: Clippers in 5"

What’s the verdict?

Based off of predictions everywhere, a lot of people are taking the LA Clippers. Though, a lot of people are thinking the Jazz will put up a fight. Hopefully they can overcome their previous postseason struggles, and take care of (what should be) their easiest first round series over the last six seasons.
