Fourth Quarter Scoring

Not only did Jamal Crawford have himself a night on March 25th, but 17 of those 28 points came in the fourth quarter. On March 5th, Jamal Crawford lit up for 25 points in 25 minutes in the city where it all began for him. The LA Clippers routed the Chicago Bulls 101-91 behind Crawford’s 25. The significance in this game? Crawford dropped 12 of those 25 points in the fourth quarter alone. In late January, we watched as the Clippers were grinding out a 102-98 victory over the Nuggets at home. This was a game during which Jamal found his stroke in the fourth quarter once again, dropping 21 points in the final 12 minutes to help give the Clippers that edge they needed to win the game.

If you’re a Clippers’ fan, you’ve watched this team fall apart as the team slowly, and consistently, gives up late leads. This is something the team cannot afford to do against the Utah Jazz who can get streaky. Jamal Crawford keeping the offense flowing late in games will be crucial if the Clips want to either hold onto leads or for late comeback attempts.
