As the LA Clippers prepare for their first round playoffs match-up with the Utah Jazz, here is how Mo Speights needs to contribute for a series victory.

For the last few seasons, the LA Clippers have lacked multiple things. One of them, being ever so evident, was a backup big man. Give the Clippers credit; They have made attempts at bringing in big men and hoping they succeed with the second unit. Cole Aldrich, Spencer Hawes, Glen Davis, Ekpe Udoh, and Ryan Hollins are some of the notable big men they’ve had over the years. Those players never contributed as much as the Clippers would have liked. That’s what brings us to the summer of 2016.

The Clippers added Mo Speights last summer, bringing him in on a one-year deal for the veteran’s minimum. Speights, who could backup both Blake Griffin and DeAndre Jordan, brought some versatility the Clippers desperately needed. Mo made a career high 39% of his threes last-season for Golden State. The eight-year big man was someone who can lure opponents away from the basket

Not only did he bring his shooting stroke, he also brought championship experience, which the Clippers look to take advantage of this upcoming postseason.
